Just installed these in my 2018 2500. Literally just squeezed them in one at a time with a pair of 12” channel lock pliers. Took 30 seconds

Just used the EMF upper/lower ball joint kit on my 04 ram 3500 4x4 and it went in flawlessly. Still had some play when road tested and to my suprise when i opened the kit initially it came with steering shaft bushings and i kinda said ehhh thats not an issue ill keep them but not worry with that cause i knew that my ball joints were trashed being factory with 200k miles. Well well guess i was wrong because my bushings had fallen out and once i installed the new ones from the kit there was a hige difference in steering. Feels factory new again. Thanks EMF for a great product and easy instructions with pics i might add👍👍👍👍👍

Worked great for me on a 2006 in truck installation. Thank you

My 2018 doesn’t have hardly any miles on it and steers great. Went out to look out of curiosity and I can make the pin touch the housing pretty easily.

10mm socket maybe instead of the other bushing. Just an idea. And we all have tons of extra 10mm laying around.

Just installed these on my 2020 Ram 3500 10k miles. The next day I have a hissing noise coming from booster. Turn or touch brakes and sound changes. Coincidence or have others had similar issues after installing these? Can get them out to see if they're causing it.

Did you ever figure out how to stop the hissing? I'm at a second mechanic because no one can figure out how to fix it... Started right after I installed these.

Is the ring an after market part? Where would I find one? Or what’s it called?
Well worth it! Just installed it on mine damn near %90 better. I got a little play in a join ill fix soon.

Hello EMF. I spoke with a materials engineer and apparently polyurethane is superior to almunim for this application.

That's what was used prior to the aluminium. What's his back ground? What field of materials and what industry does he work in?

Engineers are a funny bunch. They can say what would be best however they have no clue how they would make it work. The bushing needs a certain tension externally pushing inwards as well as a certain point out. Meaning it needs to be pressed into the hole that would be slightly under the o.d. over the pin that would be slightly larger than the i.d. to utilize the durometer of the polyurethane. Which would be impossible to install. Any bushing you'd be able to install would have the proper compression meaning there would be unwanted movement making the sleeves not as effective. We had customers that used polyurethane and other plastics such as uhmw, nylitron and delrin . They've all gone to aluminium.
