Gel shouldn’t chip at all. It might be because of poor quality product or incorrect prep process. Also bad habits such as using nails as tools, hard surfaces like metal cans can damage your nails. Chemical exposure is also harmful to nails or polish, cuticle oils help moisturize nails and prevent chipping
