Using AllskEye with my ASI178MM - A guide to AllskEye/Allskycam

The ASI178 ships with a 2.5 mm fisheye lens, which makes it perfectly suitable to be used with the software AllskEye. With an allskycam you can record the complete nightsky for session evaluation, meteor detection or just to record nice timelapses. In this video I'll give you an introduction to the software and how I use it.

Hi Chris! Nice video, thanks for making it 🙂! When you use the 'loop' feature on the preview tab the app does not regulate the exposure time which is why the median value will not match the target setting. Only when you click the 'Run' button will the exposure tim be controlled. All the best! Michael

This is all great, but then I see the lens prices, and they are extremely expensive :D How about talking about cheaper alternatives, like the raspberry pi HQ camera maybe?
