I am a mechanical engineering student working on an engine/dynamometer project. I am trying to find a way to power a hall effect sensor to read engine speed. I have a NI 9361 counter DAQ. My problem is my professor insists that I not use a power supply that is external to the chassis. Would it be possible to use an NI 9263 as a power supply for the hall effect sensor?

labview is easy to program but always comes with a cost of bugs and not being realtime for RT critical systems. I hope Labview gets these errors corrected.
