Cool video, love how you never gave up and just kept on grinding away, trying different things to get their interest. That's how it's done folks!!! If you're too one dimensional in your approach for any species, you don't do well. Being able to change up tactics and presentation on the fly is key to getting fish to hit when they aren't really interested. Hey, I may not have a KZbin channel, but 40yrs of experience in freshwater fishing has taught me some valuable lessons. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Main thing is to try hard and foremost; Have Fun!!

Are those juvenile cubera that rare inshore in florida?? That's about 80% of the inshore fishing here in Sinaloa, Mexico.. Red Snapper and cubera snappers 6lb and less. Great video man! Really digging this 30 day challenge, keep 'em coming!
@terrytates38485 жыл бұрын
Jorge Acosta - yeah I've lived In Florida 18 years lived on both coasts and fished them plenty, never caught a cubera but I've caught thousands of mangroves lol
@JorgeAcostaPesca5 жыл бұрын
But the mangrove snappers you have there don't grow much right? i mean, i was under the impression that a 2 lb mangrove snapper is a big mangrove snapper... we have those here too...But It's odd how here we also have bigger snapper species (red snapper and cubera) in mangroves and other inshore structure, the really big ones go offshore but still is common to catch 4 - 6 lb red snapper and cubera inshore. whereas in florida those species seem to be more of an offshore species. It just seems interesting to me :)

Jorge Acosta - Pesca o bro iv seen easily 8pound mangroves in Pensacola fl inshore

Jorge Acosta - Pesca yeah it is kinda odd we don't have small red snapper inshore like you guy's because we definitely have plenty offshore

Sick vid, really stoked you pushed into the night,. Can you please tell me what your setup is for gopro and Audio? The hero 5 sucks with the external audio input device you have to buy from gopro for $50! So I've only been using my gopro hero 4 which has an excellent external audio connection.....I see you are using a black though, with the external audio input, is it working well for you? Thanks big time for any advice, from one youtube fishermen to another!

Using bass tackle for mid-sized inshore gamefish is my favorite way to surfcast in CT. I have a 6'6" 1 piece medium power Berkley Lightning Shock spinning rod with a Penn Fierce II 3000 rigged with 14lb braid. Love using that setup with half ounce lures in the back bays, inner channels, and inner harbor flats for bluefish, striped bass, and mid summer sea robins. 4 pound bluefish while throwing a 4" half ounce popper, 25" striper while throwing a 4" 3/8 ounce plug, and bottom bouncing with a half ounce bucktail for fluke and sea robins on that setup is fun.

So many mullet. I wish I could throw a castnet with my bad back...silly coming from a fishing guide in training buuut...All those mullet, gutted, split, smoked up, ground into mullet dip...that makes me hungry! When you have leftover bait that turns into some of the best florida food around, priceless.
