After a storm brought down a large tree I decide to make use of it to build a bushcraft stealth shelter under its branches using cattails to weave a door and palm frond sheaths for the roof and walls.

One last thing, if you haven't done so already you might like to check out my other channel "Bushcraft Reaction" / @bushcraftreaction where I do commentary videos on other creators videos. I look at both good and bad (fake) bushcraft shelter build videos and give my thoughts and ideas on what they did good and bad as well as sharing my own experiences.

Once again, nothing done in half measures! Haha. Lot of effort between those cuts, finding and sawing the wood to size. Good job

Thanks mate. Yeah just trying to keep the pacing up, so not showing every cut. But yep, lots of going out and collecting the wood, cutting to length and lashing on that didn't need to be shown. I've actually reached out to Silky for a Katanaboy 500 saw which would make life a lot easier and given the amount of projects I have done using the Silky Gomboy 240, I figure they would get a good amount of promotion for their saw on my channel. But as yet I haven't received any reply from Silky 😟

@@RobsBushcraftandAdventuresmaybe they have a minimum follower count or something before making a partnered deal? Could try get a deal with a supplier site like "knives and tools" that stock the katanaboy and do it that way? Also noticed the kitchen knife chopper has been replaced by a hatchet! RIP kitchen chopper

@@AsgaardGuard Yeah not sure about the subscriber count thing, I would of at least expected a reply of some kind. I do have a pair of Ranger III GTX boots on their way from Lowa who I reached out to. So stoked to be getting these boots. As for the kitchen chopper, it hasn't quite left us yet. I want to put a new handle on it and make it in a way so it doesn't keep spinning in the hand when using it. For some things I like it better than the hatchet and it will continue to appear in future videos. It has been with me since the start of the channel and reminds me I don't need all the shiny tools to be able to make things in the bush.
