This video is an update to an old video we did 3 years ago. We keep learning and we have now seen that using manure gives us a much better result when raising our seedlings. Enjoy your watch!!! Thanks

It's really great seeing farmers here in Nigeria on KZbin. Now I can learn from folks with same weather and environmental conditions as me!😆 I'm a backyard gardener tho!

Nice one Mr. Kunle, I was also part of your student about 3years ago. Keep doing the good job sir. Mind you our sweet corn is growing faster beyond expectation. All this can be achieved with the knowledge and skill you impacted in us then. You're such as an hero and would definitely move Agric sector to the highest point. I daff my cap for you. Weldon sirrrrrrr.

Interesting as long as the manures not hot your good to go . I use a big plastic tub like 15 gallons size or so drop block and cover with water in 10 minutes its ready to break apart I remove some peat to get the larger fibers just 1 rinse i like some peat because i water less with some left behind. I dont charge my peat with cal mag i will start feeding seedlings light doses of fertilizer after a week, this is all for ganja :)P coco is the BEST!

Kudos Sir, this is awesome and educative clip, please is there any chemical to apply during nursery stage, I mean within that first to third weeks of nursery.... Thanks
@kunzski10 ай бұрын
I usually try and keep pesticides away throughout my nursery period but I know that there are times they are needed. Apply as mildly as you can of the need arises

Im a farmer In Swaziland next to south Africa, help us with day to day management seedlings... I bout trays and compost mix , gemination was gud but no true leaves coming instead plants turn purple I eventually threw them away, next I added soil and manure and desolved granule fertilisers, first true leaves came they were dark green and promising , they stopped growing while their counterparts on seed beds flourished, I gave up then on seed trays,

Check the PH of your media. It could be that the PH is too high and this will hinder plant growth. Which crop where you attempting to grow???

Afternoon sir, pls can one use super grow to mix the cocopeat as fertiliser in place of chicken manure .
@kunzski Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't advise that. Super grow in itself is not a fertiliser but rather a stimulant for the plant to take in food. Its like humans taking in vitamin B Complex to stimaute eating.

How many cell trays are these please
@kunzski3 жыл бұрын
This are 128 cell trays. These size of trays are what i will recommend for tomatoes, peppers etc. Smaller tray like 200 cell tend to restrain the roots from proper development and larger ones like 104 cells are just an extra and unnecesaary waste of cocopeat and soil substrate. larger holes will be needed oonly if you are planning to keep the plants in the trays longer than 5 weeks for tomatoes or 6 weeks for peppers
@kunzski3 жыл бұрын
the 200 cells are better for short crops like lettuce, cabbage onions etc that wont use long time in the nursery. you can contact us if you want to buy the trays. Our office line is +234 813 854 9635
