I was amazed by this video just because it was a simple and genuine youtube search and I ended up with a full class on a crucial subject for ESL teachers. We struggle to manage our national curriculum while teaching students how to read and write in English. Thanks for sharing!

This was amazing! Very clear! I love everything you both were saying! I love Science of Reading and I wish my whole staff could watch this, believe you (you are very convincing!!), and actually follow through with this newer way of thinking. Big shifts are needed! THANK YOU!

Oh my. I just noticed something. I do this too. When I get mad about an inefficient strategy in education, and its consequences. I can get pretty upset. Then I can sound angry for the ENTIRE time that I’m speaking. Something to watch/ listen for😳👂👀

Silly question! Will the strategies aligned to SoR work in leveled books? Does that make them better? I love decodable books, but they seem too easy for some of my advanced students.

Just my 2 cents, decodable books are not necessarily made for your advanced readers. She said for students below level J.
