Claire, you have really inspired me! Thank you so much! I’m in my third round of IVF, waiting until I can do my pregnancy test and I can’t really do the resin I love. Cue your videos with the ammonites and polymer clay. I have made loads already and gone on an embossing marathon! You are inspirational!

I’m still devastated that you’ve said Coede has been discontinued😭😭 I have seen it in many of your videos and absolutely fell in love when you did the colour comparison hearts, so now heartbroken I’m not going to be able to buy. You mentioned to someone else about having the “formula”, I’d be very interested…wondering if it’s a blend of terracotta and something else. Thanks SO much for all your terrific videos, you bring so much happiness to me and others around the world👌🏼🥰 hugs from Australia 🇦🇺

😂😂 My thought process was... Don't do this, aw i loved the giggle that followed that. I really enjoyed this video Claire, ive never used Cherry's so I might give them a go. I wondered if you maybe thought of making single Ammonites from your mold and then using a tiny amount of fresh Jesmonite brushed onto the Ammonite to attach it to the candle holder? Using the Jesmonite sort of like a glue, as we know they stick to each other well? This coaster would be beautiful with some twine and some mini shells and/or beach pebbles/sea glass. Imagine those selling at a wee beach side fayre 😍 xxx
@ClairesCraftyCorner
@ClairesCraftyCorner 2 жыл бұрын
Thankyooooo Paul ❤️❤️❤️ yes someone suggested this in the live chat but because the pot is curved ... an Ammonite from the mould would be flat .. so would be hard to stick on .. well nit hard but it would be flat if that makes sense? Cherryz wete so good .. I did some price comparisons of my iwn and so many things were cheaper than the supermarket 🙌🙌

Hi Claire I have a question I have just bought vista cascade and turbo but did not get any information with them other than the mixing ratio so I don know how long the pot life is on them or demold time's I would be so grateful if you can help thank you in advance. Your video's are keeping me sane there are really great to watch x
@ClairesCraftyCorner
@ClairesCraftyCorner 2 жыл бұрын
Heyyyyy Jackie .. Turbo can be demoulded after 5 hours or so. Cascade is 24 hours. Pot life on Turbo is really short less than 30 mins .. but I wouldn't go longer than 20 You have around an hour with Cascade.

I can see this technique with lots of different shapes too. Hemp-cord tassles, maybe with a baby ammonite as decoration, would add to the rustic feel but then it probably wouldn't be a stable surface for a candleholder to stand on. Food and snacks are essential to CCC, I've been on enough lives to know that for certain!

A two component epoxy glue would not do the trick to glue jesmo on jesmo?
@ClairesCraftyCorner

Yes it would be .. but I wanted the Ammonite to follow the curve of the pot ... you can stick Jesmonite to Jesmonite with glue easily ❤️❤️❤️

Do you ever have any resin on your products that is still a little sticky? Sometimes my measuring cups still have a bit of stickiness in them the next day and I'm not sure what to use to clean it out. The hardened resin pops right off but that stickiness lasts forever and keeps ruining my measuring cups :(
@ClairesCraftyCorner
@ClairesCraftyCorner 2 жыл бұрын
Heyyyyyy MIssy . I GENERlly stir my resin for Minimum 5 mins to make sure that it is 100% combined .. so I tend not to get sticky bits. However, I do know that Live Sleep Resin did a video on this and I believe she put her cups / Moulds in the freezer in a bag of course. I believe this worked for her to remove sticky resin from things xx Hope this helps

@@ClairesCraftyCorner Thank you so much!! I was playing around yesterday with resin and I caught my silly mistake! I kept pouring the epoxy in a measuring cup, then pouring that out into another cup before pouring in the hardener. So it wasn't mixed at all in my measuring cup. Dunno why I didn't just mix it in the measuring cup. Ooops! Thanks for the help!!

Heyyyy lovely ... you could use jesmonite as glue yes ... however I needed it to follow the curve of the pot. Otherwise it would have been a flat Ammonite if that makes sense x
