Quick question: let's assume that I have deployed a website with a babylonJS scene in it. The asset is downloaded from some external source. Is it possible for a user to extract the information of that asset from the deployed website? Great video, thank you.

Not from the Babylon experience itself, however just like with any website, you can dig through the website's code to find the URL to the external source hosting the asset and then try and download it from there.

No, not so straight forward. Are you afraid the Russians might find out how to use import statements for loaders? The "PlayGround" never tells the whole story. Some of us are here to learn stuff. Could you please not assume steps?

Are these videos available someplace not on KZbin so I don't have to watch the ads?

Hi everyone, Is there anyone who can help me with a small babylon.js project?

Thanks for the info! You helped me avoid problems I most likely would have run into without your "heads-up." I had tried to enter the Babylonjs world about two years ago, but for some reason couldn't make any headway. This time around, with help from tutorials like yours, I was able to create a skybox scene and successfully upload one of my own models into it, complete with normal maps, metallic sheen, etc. Yay! I've worked (and still work) with Playcanvas, Unity, Construct and Blender, but never did all of the scene-building directly from script before. It feels great to be able to do it....

Hey, thanks for doing these bite-size videos! Can you perhaps go through an example of setting up a simple loading-GUI at some point?

good evening... I have one doubt...why alembic files not taking in glb...have any solution for alembic importing in glb...
@BabylonJSEngine3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! .glb is a binary packaged version of .gltf files. The .gltf format is an open standard driven by the Khronos Group. Babylon fully supports this open format, but does not control what is adopted in the official spec. If you're interested in seeing the .gltf file format spec advance to support .alembic-like features, then the Khronos group is the right place to start. www.khronos.org/gltf/

Sorry for the noob question, but I downloaded the playground example with async and await (last part of the video) and when I try to open the file on local I get this error : "Uncaught TypeError: scene.render is not a function", the other are working fine. I dont get what I'm missing

I watched it on my iPad and could not read the code lines, they were to smal. Please use a bigger Font Next time. But anyway, the use of the callback was explained well and quite understandable. 👍

Ah thanks for that feedback! That's a great thing to callout. We'll make sure to use a bigger font size moving forward! Thanks so much for pointing this out! You rock!
