Thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge and skill. You make it very clear how to work with the clay and the tools and you take the mystery out of creating something useful and beautiful out of clay. You're a terrific teacher!

Here's a tip. To get the top of the mug rounder take a plastic ball or something that you can put on the top to shape it. Nice, informative, inspiring video. Thanks for sharing.

What a great fabric! You can also try guipure lace. (gui·pure, /ɡiˈpyo͝or/) I love your ideas of patterning clay. Looks like you live in an urban environment, you can probably find more guipure lace in the fashion district, on eBay, Etsy, Wish, many places. 1/2 yd is more than enough for your purposes. Don't be afraid to talk to sellers on eBay, tell them about what you're doing. They may have a scrap bag tucked in a bin somewhere.

Your video was great. One suggestion. Can you tie your hair back next time because it got in the way when you tried to show us how to attach the handle. But your did a great job explaining everything and I learned a lot.

I am a first time viewer of yoyr channel and I just want to thank you for all your videos! I just started working with clay and wanted to make a neighbor a coffee mug,but the wheel I have access to is always busy with people using it. I don't know why I thought a cup or mug couldn't be made this way, but your channel is fantastic! I can relate to your experience when you spoke about looking for textures in every day items! Thanks again..maybe when I do my mug,I will share pics...that's a big maybe lol :-)

Nice video and I will try to find some cool material like that...also bought the Xiem tool but the one with the knife with scoring which seems to be most useful. Thanks ! Why do you like the needle + scoring tool combo?
@Curlyrana815 жыл бұрын
Jonathan R I use the needle tool to open the nozzle of my slip bottle when I score and slip.

great video, i am trying to learn from your videos and find that you make it real simple... but what happens next... how much to dry and when to glaze it and how to cook it what temperature..cam it be cooked in a home oven or in open fire?

What sort of table surface are you working on? Is that sheet-rock or wall-board? If it is, does the paper come off or wear off from getting wet? Thanks. Great tutorials!
