So many options for you!

Stumbled upon this when I was searching for a slightly different answer - I wanted to know if I could have a pull down number, and then a +/- button next to it (I haven't found the answer to that yet) - but this helped me with the calculations, so that's good.
@GarethPronovostАй бұрын
You can add a drop down for a number and you can decide what number options you'll make available. However, I don't know about the +/- next to it. I don't think the interface works quite that way.

Thank you for the very informative video. Can you use these calculation to determine the amount of time spent on a project. I have them enter the start and end time and would like the calculation of amount of time worked for them to see.

Will the calcuated fields be captured into a table for reference later?
@GarethPronovost2 жыл бұрын
Not by default, although you can build automations that capture the calculation asking with other form data that's submitted

Hey. What if you want the customer to enter two different values... Example: Discretionary Income where they have to enter Income & Expenses, and then the widget would calculate the difference. Any feedback would be appreciated!
@GarethPronovost7 ай бұрын
You can use a drop down field for your different "types" and then update the calculations based on what they choose!

Very good! Changed the way I'm thinking about employer 401(k) matching formulas.

How do I take previous entries and generate limiting form output? for future form entries such as limited time reservation slots?
@GarethPronovost3 жыл бұрын
For this I'd recommend checking out another tool like Calendly or Acuity scheduling to prevent double bookings!

thanks for this, just wondering why when a form is submitted I cant see the calculated amount in the response dashboard or when i export the responses?
@GarethPronovost2 жыл бұрын
Hi, that's correct - the calculated amount isn't an output from the form submission, per se. You can build an automation that captures this information - I'd suggest writing this data to a software like Airtable upon submission... hope this helps!
@ossiangranit48912 жыл бұрын
@@GarethPronovost Hi! thanks for your response. Can you elaborate in this? Or, perhaps there is some other (simple) way to make the response in the calculated field appear in the submitted responses? There must be some way, how else would one be able to verify what peoples calculations amounted to, or if what they paid is correct?

im building a form which has an assigned value per selection. lets say a person wants to select a tour for a day and that tour would cost around 50$ , i need the form to calculate that depending on the number of passengers that cost can be multiplied by.

I am very new to jotform. This is my first attempt at creating a form. I have a product list. If a shirt is size S, M, L, or XL cost is $10. If the size is XXL or 3XL the cost is $15. Is there a way to calculate the cost instead of hard coding into the product?
@GarethPronovost Жыл бұрын
Definitely! Jotform has native calculation options!
