tbh idk if u need a tutorial, i find the best thing is to decide what attributes you want to add to adn what ones ur willing to sacrifice to do so then just trial and error to see what gear will give u those desired results...dont mean to sound condescending but its pretty easy to figure out tbh, hope that helps

This is probably the one technique I horribly suck at passing is one thing but utilizing free passes it’s so difficult to Comprehend I’m usually good with perfect shots blocks and perfect dodging especially with harder cpu levels cause for normal cup mode you don’t need to dodge at all it’s pathetically easy

but why does your 'optimal team' have toad in the DEF role? literally anyone BUT waluigi or maybe bowser seems silly but toad (esp since u left his strength reeeeeal low even with gear) as your defender is just, mindnumbingly confusing to me...

fwiw i use Bowswer as my captain with high tech/shooting/srength then have yoshi's on the wing with speed/shooting and decent passing/tech and just enough strength to tackle avg players - then obv in the back i got wallluigi which is just all speed/strength and tech/passing

fwiw, playing this way (and sooometimes subbing mario in for one of my midfield yoshis's) works well for me as i find i can win the ball back forechecking with bowswer or just win the ball/get a shot off right from kickoffs but id say my goals are evenly split between bowswer and both yoshis (or yoshi/mario) on the wings cuz i i give them atleast a 15 for shooting and tech
