thank you for this demo! What causes the golgi tendons and spindle fibers to become dysfunctional like that? And would you need to continue that exercise in that way or are their other movements that can stimulate the bodies to start to regain functionality.

Imagine that the Golgi tendon organ and spindle fiber sensors are like circuit breakers. If you place a demand on a muscle that is perceived to be at a level that will create damage to the muscle, tendon, or ligaments around a joint, the CNS will make a judgment and turn off the circuit to protect itself. Whether the CNS, in turn, resets the circuit breaker after this offending situation, or not, will determine the need for therapy. I wish this has a more detailed visualization. It is very difficult to see the true manipulation of the muscle spindles and GTO where the person is wearing jeans and also there's no On Top camera to show this work. I am also very surprised that the client did not border on the inguinal area. I would be very uncomfortable if my therapist would be really close to the pubic area without consulting me or asking to border (protect with her own hand) that sensitive area. CONSENT is everything and very important for the client and keeps the Therapist out of trouble.

Thanks, comments well noted. Permission was obtained before filming. Yes, there was no overhead camera. If I film again I'll look into that. As for contact points, check your anatomy book for origin and insertion.

Hi there, I have a question. Isn't the GTO responsible for inhibiting motor neurons to fire in order to regulate tension of the muscle? If that's the case, are you primarily focusing on turning back on her muscle spindles in order to fight against the force of your hand? Thanks.

Tight muscles are always weaker than relaxed muscles. I believe by using this, or several of the GTO techniques out there, you will thereby relax the tight muscle and it will be come stronger.
