I helped my school's band fundraiser make cutouts and decided they were too small. Fell in love with the craft and am hoping to make some to sell. What size do you do cutouts, your squares for example? I love the idea of having those premade and then just adding personalization! Brilliant!

They are typically 3.5”-4.5” tall depending on design. I have had several requests for the design space tutorial for this video and will post it here when its complete! Cutouts can be stressful but I love making new designs!

I love these and can't wait to do some prep for this season! What material is the silver base layer of your cutouts? Are they cardstock? Does the vinyl adhere to glitter cardstock? And then how to you attach the finished cutouts to the mums?

It is Cricut brand glitter cardstock but you can use other brands. We use cardstcok on the bottom of all our cutouts. Yes HTV adheres great - each heat press is different but the times and temp in video should get you started. We usw hot glue. My first layer of HTV is melting once I start adding layers :-/ any suggestions? I’m using poster board as my base and a plain non glitter white/black as the first layer.. should I just stick with glitter htv?

@@brandym0904 I personally only use glitter cardstock or a glossy cardstock. I would lower your temp as welll.

For some reason my cutouts are curling up. I tried a new white glitter cardstock for base ( I can't remember which company I ordered it from - I know it was highly suggested since the glitter doesn't come off). Any suggestions?

How many layers are you using (for the majority we use one layer of cardstock and two layers of HTV)? With my thinner cardstock - usually the more shimmer ones - I have to sometimes use two layers of cardstock if it curls up. You can offset the cardstock layer one more time to get the second layer.

FYI. You can also turn your mat upside down and use the bottom side. I love my HTVront
