Using John Deere Skid Steer and Chevy Dump Truck to Fix Field Washout

Not long after drilling in this new field, we experienced a torrential downpour that unfortunately led to a nice ditch splitting our nice smooth field in half. Now that first cutting has been taken off, we can get to work filling it in and getting some seed put on it. I get the old chevy dump truck running and haul dirt into the field where I fill in and smooth out all of the ruts that were left behind by the rushing water.

Very cool old rig 😎 surprised it only has a 350 in it .... I am assuming the red button on the gear stick is for the 2 speed axle ?? I drove a lot of coaches in my younger days that had 2 speed rear axles, great fun to drive.. something a lot of people wouldn't know anything about nowadays .... and your skid loader operating is very good too, nice and smooth 👍.... cheers for the video, always enjoyable

Thanks. Yep it is a 2 speed rear. The 350 runs good but is very underpowered for the size truck. At one point that truck was road worthy. It would fall on its face as soon as it seen a hill with 7 ton of stone in the bed. Thanks for watching!
