The only flaw I see with that is the amount of acting you'd have to pull off to avoid outing yourself as L. Sure, in public lobbies where nobody knows your speech patterns, you'd likely be good with minor differences, but if people know how you talk, Kira and their follower could instantly realize who you are.

No but if you are L and you are able to get in a room alone with the confirmed person, you can tell them you are L
