I've just discovered Grant, and was about to tell him how much I love his work and how generous he is with explaining everything. So sad to see Jackie's comment, that he has passed. Never-the-less, thank you Grant for your gift and inspiration. ♥♥♥ Pat Australia

I've loved this KZbin feed for a couple of years now and looked into a workshop with Grant. When I looked into it I was so sad to find out that he passed away in October of '16. What a gift that his teaching lives on in these videos.

It was wonderful to watch your painting come together. I especially noted the dappled shading on the trees - something I tend to forget. Thank-you!

Your video on masking fluid was very helpful. I moved t o California last year after living in NC for 40 yrs. Im not a NC native, but I miss hearing that Southern drawl I think I detected in your voice.

Grant, you can use a lot less masking fluid. Just take out a few drops with a table spoon and dilute with water (50/50 or even 1/3 masking fluid/water ratio will work). I also add a bit of color to it to see where the masking fluid goes. You won't see the color when the masking fluid is removed. Thank you for your video!

Adding water also makes it a bit more paintable by the way.

A superb demonstration, ex[pecially for someone who has never used masking fluid before. I also like your light-touch brush technique; very effective. Many thanks.

Lovely, thank you! I used masking fluid for the first time the other day. I was working with wood stain (Home Depot, Behr) and acrylic paint (golden) on plywood I'd prepped with white wood stain. The masking fluid pulled the stain and acrylic up with it at the edges (not terrrible, but ...) I realized, masking fluid is really just meant for water color. Am I right? I'm a novice and learning by trial...and videos like yours. Thank, again.

Thanks for your video, it is really beautiful. Can you please tell me what paper and masking fluids you used? Because I can't use my sennelier masking fluid on 100% cotton paper Fabriano cold press and it destroy the heritage canson paper... :S.. Thanks youuu :)
