This video was chaotic. All I can say about Men's products is this:
they all smell the same.
they all lack many, vital qualities.
But they were fun to play with!

I COULD BE WRONG, but I've seen people (dermatoligists) discussing the differences between the skins, and it appears that men's skin is thicker and more oily, making it more difficult to clean properly, which is why men's products are harsher; their hair is also thicker and coarser than women's hair; and men's conditioner does exist, but it is definitely harder to find.
@addiewood7735

that actually makes a lot of sense and would explain why men's products are harsher. thank you for that explanation! :)

As a male yes I could confirm though I'm not a dermatologist I've grew up with mostly wonderful females and used their shampoos and didn't make any difference. Until I turned 14 and one day decided to buy my stuff my fungal acne reduced in a week drastically. My hair and skin is still oily though but my skincare helps. And I just realised I over shared again thank you.

I have 2 hair shampoos, conditionare, hair mask, body scrub, shower gel, shaving cream, 5 different face products and so much more. Give me 4h and I look presentable. Boyfriend - shampoo for hair, face, body, shaving cream and aftershave, all you need, 75 in one. 15 minutes, looks flawless.

It's because we are taught, as women, that we need to have flawless hair, no body hair and more... Because society taught us this, to be (unconsciously) presentable for men
@Jod3lay
@Jod3lay 2 жыл бұрын
@@mbasilic783 no, just for me. Because I like to care for my body and mind. (my parents taught me that) So it has nothing to do with sexism. I just love to indulge myself after a long day of work. My guy (who's a stay at home dad) thinks I deserve this and loves to see me enjoying myself. And I love him for that.

@@Jod3lay because it is unconscious. I also thought that "taking care of myself" was a forme of self love. But it is deeply rooted in patriarchy. I recently found out about this with a podcast (a French one, idk if it has eng caption or not). Now when I want to feel "preety", I know it's because my parents told me, and their parents told them... because society thought them and continues to influence us (English isn't my first language, sorry for any mistakes)

Yes, men sure can have oilier skin but usually the products available are so harsh and strip away too much of the natural oils, even for oily skin anybody should use a more gentle cleanser, it keeps skin more balanced. And men's products have a very strong fragrance which can also be irritating and stripping.

@@jk7713 even if there is a difference between an 'average woman' and an 'average men', accross the board, the difference between any random human and another is far bigger. Therefore, different products for 'sensitive scalp' or 'oily hair' make far more sense than an arbitrary dichotomy based on genitals.

Men do use conditioner but we’re forced to use ‘woman’s’ brands. Hair is hair at the end of the day whether it’s men’s or women’s. I just tend to pick products that are more neutral scented rather than anything too floral.
