About a year ago, I saw something that interested me greatly. I wish I could remember his channel, but I can't. He does a lot of lathe work. He poured casting resin into a mold, then with a large, horse-type syringe, he used glow-in-the-dark UV resin and shot it into his uncured casting resin. Just in random swirls, no specific pattern. Immediately after removing the syringe, he hit the UV resin with a powerful LED curing light. All I can remember is that he came up with a unique, beautiful piece! This might be something would be interested in trying, as I know you like unusual and interesting ideas. I know I have been captivated by this idea. But with no lathe nor ability to do anything other than just leave it as a solid block, I have just kept it in the back of my mind. It seems like he made a bud vase or something...??? 😁

Oh girl you should try resin, mica (like blue for example), then add a wee bit of blue interference powder, that is the magic ingredient. You will not believe the color , it's like it is glowing and bright and pearl I guess. It's just amazing. I think I'll upload a lil video I sent to a friend showing a color I made for them. And you know videos/pictures are always muted then what they actually look like.

I don’t like chunky pens, prefer thin pens but I got Rheumatoid Arthritis severely when I was 24 years old (some poor people get it as children, I feel for them so much) but with that I very soon had very damaged joints and my hands were the worst so ended up with advanced osteoarthritis very young. I have had to use chunky pens so it would be good if you could do a bit of both

Hi Wendy! Another awesome video. I’m having trouble finding a red mica powder that’s truly fire engine red. Most that I find end up being more pink or orange. Do you have any recommendations?

Oh Hun I absolutely know your pain 😭😭 I tend to use liquid red for a perfect red as mica red is really hard to get. Hemway do one or at least they did but tbh I still wasn’t happy. So I went down the liquid route. I have bought so many over the years too. The answer is I’m still searching too 😭😭

I can never get mica to completely mix into my resin properly any tips?

I pour the mica into the resin not the other way round. 🤷‍♀️ But I have had some that still leave tiny clumps. 😡 My advice is to stir and leave. The clumps come to the top as they have air in them. You can either lift them out or press against the side of the cup to disperse them. 😀 That’s the best I can offer in help 👍😀
