I do this with all my 89 indoor houseplants and I only have to water every couple weeks instead of weekly depending on the plant...some can go longer than 2 weeks 😁 I also put Epsom salt on top every other month when I water and I've seen a huge difference 😁 I don't put into holes like you did...I hydrate the hydrogel and mix it with the soil so it doesn't push the soil out if I put too much.

Be aware that Epsom salts lock up phosphorous for a while.

Perfect timing for the information i was in need of. Thank you. What i am curious is, how much time is this product effective in thd pot? Of course i can guess it varies brand to brand, i just want to have an idea, a month, 3 months, a year?

soil moist can last 3-5 yrs in the soil

Hmm use double for less frequent watering? Swell them with fertilizer water?

I personally wet the crystals before use, I’ve seen to much used and the plants literally pop out of the holes, haha
