Hi, Kara. Would you do an update video on how the Hobonichi is working for you/how you're using it now?

When I received my Hobonichi Cousin, I downloaded the Google Translate app so I can read the fun information on each page every day. Some so far has been worth journaling!

Great idea! I'm going to do that too.

Would love to see an update on your Hobonichi!! I'm starting to use a Cousin as my bujo in 2020 and can't get enough of hobo videos right now ^^

I really am loving the idea of a Hobonichi. It makes so much more sense for my work life.

Very nice! I'm thinking to use this to track all my kids school activities since they're both active athletes and I have a lot of activities, tournaments, practice schedules to keep up with. Now, my challenge is to purchase one that's the right size/format!

I use the hobonichi since August and was so happy when I saw that you use it now too! Your videos are great!

I really enjoyed your spread. I am beyond excited to recieve my first Hobonichi Cousin Avec for 2020!! It's my first one and your ideas are great. I am not a business owner (not yet). You have a lot of practical effective ideas that I'd like to incorporate. Thanks. I like your pen as well. I'll look into it.

I just started using a Hobonichi for work this year and LOVE it! Thanks for showing us how you are using yours; I got a few ideas from that I can't wait to try. :-)

I have never been a proponent of separating my work and personal planners but...I don’t own a business and I work from home so my work and personal life blur a bit. That said, it would seem like you’d need to carry two planners all the time if you separate the two. Kara, I love the way you incorporated color in your Hobonichi!

Kara I love this Hobonichi Business planner idea. Are you going to do a follow up video? Id love to see how its going!

I did the same thing with the times on my weekly spreads. I'm notorious for it. Sometimes I leave it and keep going and sometimes I white it out.

I appreciated this video ALOT! I also use a Hobo Cousin for business and for life in general. I'm into color coding and I sort of lost my way in this planner's format. This video helped me with ideas on how to get on track. Girl! That Tombow Mono Drawing Pen is what I NEED in my life!! Thanks again

How do you keep your notes so perfect? When I am planning I write a lot, cross things out, brainstorm, etc. Is there another place that you do your "messy thinking"-type writing?

Hey Kara you didn’t blur out that one box at the end of the video, you should go back and fix it!! Just letting you know. Love your video as always ❤️

Super cool way of separating work and personal a bit more. Do you find that you spend as much time in your bullet journal? I know you said you still bullet journal but I’m curious as to how that will change as well. Would love a video update of how the BuJo is with the work focus. Just started my travelers notebook for January and finding these last couple weeks a bit less journal focused even though I was super jazzed about the new year

Thanks for sharing these insights into your business planning and Hobonichi. I'd never seen the inside of this planner before, so it's really interesting to see how you've set it up, and I love the idea of taking notes specifically about how your work is going on a daily basis. I've been wondering whether I should do something similar, since I'm using Lisa's Your Best Year 2018 book to help myself evaluate business-related items, but sometimes I also want to write down longer notes or work through issues by journaling a bit more, so this looks like a great solution! One question: Where do you buy your Hobonichi notebooks? Amazon seems to be a bit pricey for the Cousin version (around $75!), so I wondered if you had another source.

Laura Roberts Check out the link in the video description. I ordered mine directly from Hobonichi ☺️ They are not cheap but well worth it in my opinion!

I want to try out the cousin but it's pricey for a notebook I might not use. I just bought a 2017 April start for $27! I can redo the dates and figure out if it's for me :)

This video is incredibly helpful! I've watched it 5 times now, coming back to let ideas marinade and such, but just realized that the monthlies are not covered. Or did I miss that? Are they just used for time markers during the year? I'm planning on having a Cousin exclusively for business so I don't need to incorporate family/personal things really.

Hey Kara! I'm glad you are enjoying your Hobonichi Cousin! What are you using your month-on-two-pages spread for? my guess would be an editorial calendar? :-D

So what about the month section of the hobonichi? This almost feels like cliff hanger... Great video though. I just moved from a Cousin into an A6 Techo - mainly because the Cousin was so heavy to carry around. I love the pattern you do for your tracking!

I am curious about the Hobonichi, but as a teacher, the hourly details of my day are not necessary in my personal planner. The hourly schedule of my teaching day is too exhaustive to consider this as a work planner.
@purpledoneright6 жыл бұрын
So do you take it back and forth to the office and home? Or do you pretty much use your normal bullet journal at home and use the hobonichi at work?

What pens are the best for that planner? I heard the paper is very thin and might bleed or shadow
@marthar43706 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you've gotten an answer to your question...yes the paper is very thin however as long as the ink is not acid free (ie Sharpie permanent ink) then ink regardless of it's "wetness" will not bleed through even the thinness of watercolor paint. Ah the wonder of Tomoe River paper.

Do you find that with so much space, your bullet journal becomes redundant?
@mrs_hindson72396 жыл бұрын
Yvonne Chiang I do - but I fill the blank space in with quotes and stick pictures in with washi to decorate because Im not very artistic so thats how I make my planner pretty xxx
