Welcome back! It's great to hear your voice and your thoughts again. Praying for your continued healing and for your adventure next year.

I am so glad you are doing well. Thank you for sharing you. You are loved and you are appreciated. Keep on with your healing. Do not come back to work too soon. It is more important that you heal and beer there for your family. This was a fun video and helps me to understand some concepts better from the books you have encouraged. Have fun.

Your new notebook won't fall apart. This is called a "lay flat bind". What you're hearing is just the loose spine bending and adjusting to being opened. It's one of the best and sturdiest bindings possible. ;)

My Kara-plans on pen and paper (nothing against your digital planning it was a new world to me and so very interesting) fix! I only realize now how I missed these videos. Thank you!

This notebook looks very comparable to the Hobby Lobby Paper Studio notebooks. I couldn't do the closer and darker dots and the super white and heavy paper. Loved that there was no bleeding or even ghosting but the pages were a little too thick. Finding just the right journal is tough!!

I do the same thing with future logs. I just use my digital calendar for events and appointments. I only future plan a month at a time in my bullet journal because I still use the monthly spread to get a view of what my life looks like for that time. This year, I’m going to try out quarter planning though.

I have found that, for me, I am better off just doing the things I want to do without rigid plans and written goals. I feel less pressure, less guilt when I cannot follow the plan as laid out, and actually get more done when I work spontaneously. I do create a very flexible plan, but no stone or cement. Also, i find it very tedious and time consuming to draw all those little boxes. I now simply track things in a more picturesque manner, writing down my accomplishments without comparing or analyzing data statiscally. I celebrate every day for what I DID DO towards my yearly goals. When the plan doesnt work out I dont get depressed...its working for me at this point in time.

I'm so glad to see you back and sounding energetic and positive, yet realistic. Totally unsolicited, but I'm also relieved that you're going to take more time to train, condition, and let your feet recover. I feel confident you'll be able to pick up where you left off and cover another big chunk of the AT next year. I'll be looking forward to your PWM videos. I'm trying to figure out a way to track my sleep, too. My wrist thingy doesn't record total hours accurately and I'm not ready to spend more money on a different one.

Hola Kara!!! Te escribo en español porque ,desde que se que hablas español,quedé fascinada. Que bueno que estás de nuevo en el canal de KZbin!!!! Estoy feliz de que hayas vuelto! Que tengas un hermoso verano.

About the 5-4-3-2-1 method: how about just flipping it? As in: 5 hours, 4 days, 3 weeks, 2 months, 1 year... I'm sure I'm not the first to think that and it might still not be ideal for you (what you suggested actually sounds very good and logical too), but it just popped in my head and I had to write it in a comment haha Also, I'm glad you're back(ish) already even tho it's not really for a fun reason 😅😇🤓

I use a planner from the Japanese brand Nolty and the grid is only 3mm. I'm so used to it now that anything larger feels HUGE! Even in a Hobonichi (3.7mm?) I'm like, "Um, there's too much space here. I couldn't possibly write this big." 😂 ps - I use a Pilot VP in F or EF

I love your focus on health and wellness! I am also trying to focus on feeling better and have more energy. I saw you wrote about eating nothing is off limits, but eating mindfully. Goals for the next 15 minutes, 1 hour, couple days are freaking to do items. It's "I need to do laundry so if I can get that done it needs started in the next 15 minutes." Makes those slots a pointless exercise, eh? It's done daily when the tasks are done, so why redo a page every 15 minutes when it's done elsewhere? The things people will blindly do because someone throws it onto a long term goal planning. And if weight numbers aren't important, then stop making them a major priority. They look super important when they become a paid item and a frequently checked number. No good system makes constant weighing a priority because it is the worst marker. It changes daily. Heck, take a fluid pill and drop the fluid before you weigh to make the numbers fit the warped illusion that it matters. This constant weighing is why so many fail. If it was just how one feels then all those numbers wouldn't be a priority or tracked when they mean nothing in regard to how one feels.
