I am really enjoying the lesson now .thank you. When I was young my college professor was French from Mauritius as I use to spend alot time at his house . His family spoke French most of the time . I manage to learn from them. Than later helped young school boy on train to get to Heathrow airport. Now i am 66 retired thought it would be good idea to learn it properly. Once again thank you

I took 6 years if German between high school and college and am now interested in learning French! However I've been having a much harder time with the pronunciation and the French flair than I ever did while learning German! In English, it’s very common to have the tag at the beginning of a sentence. “Haven’t I done all my chores?” Does this exist in French? Or is it always placed at the end after a comma? Great video as always by the way.

Super late reply, but the example you gave is one of inversion, which French certainly has (i.e., Ai-je fait toutes mes corvees?) As far as I know, tag questions in English (and French) appear only at the end of phrases (e.g., I've done all my chores, haven't I?)

I find it odd abt Question Tag (QT) in french: the first part of the sentence (a statement), despite it being in PAST TENSE, or FUTURE, or any other..., the QT IN FRENCH WILL ALWAYS REMAIN THE SAME - STANDARD : 'N'EST-CE PAS' = isn't it?? However, the QT tense must correspond in tense with the TENSE OF THE MAIN STATEMENT. Pls clarify, Mam dear !!
