I was sure the varnish was going to smear. Does the oil pastel become permanent once it’s set in order to allow for the varnish to adhere without smearing? Awesome work!

Thank you... no idea if it becomes permanent once it sets... as soon as I finished it I glossed it, I was scared it would smear so I went really slow, but it didn’t smear and I was very happy with that :)

What kind of pencil did you use to paint the rocks over the pastels please?

I used a 6B pencil, but any pencil darker than 2B should work well

No, just a normal pencil but it has to be 4B or darker
