Reset ang retry. Pag ganun pa din, baka yung old modem sira na talaga. But do note na lumang modem na ito. Yung max speed nya mas mababa compared sa latest modems ngayon. I think 2.4ghz lang din ang band nya, wala pa syang 5ghz band

Depending on the pocket Wi-Fi device. It will be difficult to share that through a router if it has no RJ45 (LAN) port, and since you mentioned "pocket", I assume there's none. But in a slim chance that there is a LAN port, I'm sure there's a way... just not sure how specifically, since I will need a that pocket wi-fi device to play around to find out, and I don't have any pocket wi-fi with me.

Hello, after 10 days of non-stop effort, I accidentally came across your video. It was great and useful. I also have a fiber optic modem model AN5506-04-FS, which works very well, but there is no signal on the other side of the house. I want to use an old TP-Link TD 8961ND modem as a repeater or signal booster of the first modem. But apparently the AN5506-04-FS modem doesn't support the WDS function or if it does, I can't find it. Please teach how to do it. thank you

Sorry, I have no TP Link router to practice with. Every router has difderent settings. But the main idea is to reset the old router, disable dhcp at assign a static IP that matches the source IP mask. Then you can just connect it through LAN cable and you're good to go

Well, I'd like to help, but that would be very challenging. First is the communication - it's easier to isolate the problem if I can see what you are doing. Second, if you yourself can't even identify what you did wrong, how much more to me? When I am not even involved in your process. And lastly, all the tutorial I can privide are in the video, which are limited only to the specific router I used. I am not an expert nor a router support person. I just experiment on the old router and share it in the video. It's just something I do on my free time. Good luck though. My suggestion is take a look at my videos about tenda routers. Just buy that router as they are very easy to setup.

Sir, I successfully modified my disconnected hg6245d into a extender. it is on bridge mode. browsing and streaming is okay but when I do ookla speedtest or download something and the speed is fast like 4mb/sec, the disconnected modem restarts. The connection gets lost and ssid disppears from wifi list. then after 15secs the ssid appears again as if the modem restarted.

Di ko pa nata-try yan. Pero luma nang model ang router na to. Malamang hindi pwede. Ang silbi ng USB ports ng router usually ay for Firmware update lang at pwede din gawing source ng 5V power. Also, may sarili nang modem ang mga phone, pwede mo i-on ang hotspot, makaka-share ka na ng internet. Bakit papadaanin pa sa router?

Yung static IP address na isi-set mo sa lumang router ay naka-base dun. Suggestion ko, bili ka na lang ng Tenda na router, kasi may dynamic ip settings yun. Kahit ano pa mask ng provider, si tenda na bahala mag-adjust ng IP address nya. Kapag lumang router kasi kailangan mo i-set manually ang IP address ng lumang router. Di uubra kung pabago bago ka ng provider. Pede. Kung same model lang ng router, same steps lang. Kung ibang model, same steps pa din, pero baka iba ang settings. Ang idea lang ay (1) reset yung lumang modem, (2) disable dhcp, (3) assign static IP na tugma sa source - PLDT ay 192.168.1.X - yung X any number from 2 to 254 (4) Tapos. Saksak mo na sa LAN 1 from source.

As with other videos like this, para iwas attention from TelCo companies at possible issues, I decided to not put the passwords anywhere in the description. Di naman po ganun ka-hirap i-copy ang password. It will take just a tiny little effort to read and type-in each characters. As compared to the alternative na kapag napansin ng PLDT ang video at i-report, at ipa-take down... lahat pa tayo nawalan. Imbes na makatulong pa sa iba, mawala pa. Kaya ok na yang konting effort ng manually pag-type ng ilang characters lang naman. Di naman ganun kahirap yan.
