I don't think that's Chesters fort at 4:45 (I live a mile away from it, and the landscape doesn't look like that), but I can't identify which fort it is.

It took me a few days, but I figured out that it's GREAT Chesters Fort, not Chesters - which is about 10 miles West of Chesters. Either way, thank you for the video, I've had a lot of fun with LiDAR images over the last week after watching this :)

Really nice video and initiative! I wonder if you tried already Red Relief image Map. RTV provides de raw material to build it. You just must calculate the positive and negative topographic openness. Then in Qgis, using the raster calculator, you can calculate the ridge and valley index by: (positive - negative)/2. In order to build the visualization, you have to calculate a slope map from the DTM. Style this one in a pale to dark red palette playing as you mention in your video with the min/max values. The RVI must be below the slope map. We like to use a deep green for low values a middle gray for the middle and a darkish yellow for the high values. To see both layers at the same time, you have to define in the slope map that you want to use a multiply blending mode. This visualization works great for Mesoamerican sites and for relief, it is worth a try with your data. One thing that I like is that emphasizes the convex and concave aspects of the terrain, giving a nice 3d effect without a lighting source and the problems associated with it.

Seems that defra have made their site pretty much unusable, can't access map showing lidar available areas, and can't reduced opacity of map when attempting to select areas for data download. Attempting to enter support ticket is an exercise in insanity.

Is anyone having trouble opening RVT on windows 10? I can download and unzip but the exe file just doesn't open. Same problem on different machines running win 10 64 bit
