Using our Case 550G to Clean out and Expand a Small Pond on our Home Place

This is a video I did over the past few months showing how a small pond/waterhole we built in 2014 dried up in the drought last summer and I rehabbed it with our Case 550G Dozer to better than ever! ‪@GilliamFarms‬

i have not got the 550G yet and I want to service it as soon as it gets here. We are replacing one sprocket - getting ready to clean out one 1/2 acre Tank and I am going to dig a different 2-3 acre tank. I really enjoyed watching you clean that tank out....but you did not show how you flattened it out and manicured the top.@@GilliamFarms We are down here 30 miles West of San Antonio --- Castroville Texas

@@risky1 so since it was so muddy when I did the work in the video I had to wait several days to grade it out since the mud was just running from the tracks instead of packing. That will be your first issue on a clean out. Get it to rough shape and then once dried enough go back over it. The blade is to get a level and the track is the finisher. Back blading gets a nice smooth surface. Remember, less is more with the blade. did you use the 550 ? it was just perfect the way you graded it off. @@GilliamFarms
