I have the night off and thought to myself, i haven't seen a new video from Nate in a little bit. As soon as i checked my notifications, this one popped up! Great to see you again...checking out this Vevor wet sander. NICE PRODUCT! I live in an apartment, and i don't have a yard to polish my rocks to give me proper ventilation, so i'm limited to what i can use. I use a dremel and there is a Harbor Freight that is nearby, but i think i can get by with Vevor.

Hello Nate, you are looking fit & well. I have a similar type of machine as well, gift from my wife for my last birthday. They do work quite well. I have bought a couple of extras that make some operations better. Firstly I had a six inch aluminium backing pad and the 6inch diamond impregnated disks that I had previously bought for using with a grinder that fit the thread on my water grinder. This makes getting slabs even large ones nice and flat while grinding. I also purchased another pack of the diamond grinding pads which have a 6000. & 10000 grit pads really makes a great difference on the polish finish. I also purchased a pack of wool buffing pads that I finish off the process with. I don’t have the final polishing pads that came with your set so these additions bring my final polish up really nicely. I use a large off cut from a pine timber plank that I sit on my table and put a couple of screws in it to hold the piece of rock in place, sometimes with a timber wedges to level the face of the rock that I want to polish if it’s not a slab. Wishing you and the family well.

Have fun! They work great! And no between grit stages clean up!!! I like using them to preserve the natural shape of a bigger stone, yet still get a polish on it without having to tumble that much bigger stone ! They also work incredibly well for making bookends out of larger pieces you want to showcase ! Looking forward to seeing videos of your across the US adventures

I love the water feature because it's way safer and suppressing the dust but I do definitely recommends to wearing a mask no matter what because in healing wet particles it's just the same and there is fine mist moving about, so, always good to take that step to protect yourself when you can. Thanks for watching! And happy hunting!

That is a fabulous outcome from raw to polished! It looks fabulous! And those polishing pads that they use on wet angle grinders are the cost of the whole package (tools and pads) from vevor! It is a fabulous package and I saw katydid got one and tested it out too and she thought it was a pretty fantastic machine as well. Hers didn't come out quite as well as yours did but I think it was because she tried to polish pet wood rough and she didn't cut it flat first or use the 50 grit pad to grind down to a flat surface but she was able to achieve a nice polish on the tops of the rounded surfaces she did get with the machine. But she isn't quite as versed with machinery as you are and your test of the machine was phenomenal! Definitely something I will be looking at for purchasing in the near future! Thanks Nate!

@@QuestForDetails The grinder works well. But you know that there some McGyver stuff that had to happen first in order to make it work. It has good power, multiple speeds (grinding and finishing), and had a on/off lock which can allow for 1 handed operation. It is portable, so it is different than a Flat Lap. However if you are not looking for portable, then a Flat Lap is far superior in nearly every way.

That tool looks like it would be perfect to use on my stained and scratched old marble coffee table what do you think? Does your water hose hookup to outside water spigot? Cheers bro
@QuestForDetails
@QuestForDetails 11 ай бұрын
Yes I think it's actually used for countertops marbles and all rock services, it's definitely smooth enough to use on a big surface doesn't jump all over the place or anything, it's got an 8 inch hose, so I just used a double ended barbed adapter from drip system parts/garden, and then that just pokes into a section of drip line hose , with garden hose attachment on end , just long enough to screwointo a regular garden hose.takes almost no pressure though so any aquarium size pump could work , could catch re use ect...

I Removed the end that came on the hose as I did not have that attachment, then I simply used a 1/8 " irrigation barbed emitter that fits snug into the line and that into a small section of drip line hose with a crimped end and a hose adaptor. will include it in future videos.
