always check your staging! Also, you didn't "turn way too early". It's actually more efficient to do a proper gravity turn where you lean the rocket gradually until you're entirely horizontal, instead of flying up and *then* sideways I've been a long-time fan of KSP, I hope you make more of these videos!
@ReidCaptain3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad i checked staging so early into the flight, usually i mess it up way way later in the flight lol Also yeah, but i finished that turn way earlier than I would have liked. Fortunately it didn't require a relaunch!
@bobbyroy53163 жыл бұрын
@@ReidCaptain actually, you should have done it earlier! Generally if you are trying to do a efficient gravity turn you start turning at 2000(or less) feet. You then keep gradually turning, and continue turning the entire flight into orbit.
@no_name28823 жыл бұрын
@@ReidCaptain I aim to be at 45° on the nav ball by 10,000 meters and aim to be at 75° by 50,000 meters then flatten out at 70,000 meters. I would also recommend using the maneuver maker as it gives you a much more circular orbit!

Rip that gravity turn. for the most efficient launch trajectory you should be aiming to be at 45 degrees by 10000 meters and then continue nosing over. After getting to 45 deg there is a way to just go by eye but it takes a lot of practice so I would suggest to just try to get over to 60 deg and then once your apoapsis is up to 90 km just set a maneuver at apoapsis to get into a stable orbit.
