You seem like a very bright guy, with a professional attitude. If I had need of your services and still lived in that area, I'd definitely hire you. I lived in Orange County between 1981 and 1998, and I loved every minute of it. I miss it like I'd miss breathing. Best of luck in your future endeavors. p.s. There's a KZbinr named Scott Manley who uses the phrase "Fly safe" to end all of his videos. His are mainly about the space programs of various nations, but mostly the US. You may want to check him out.

Keep flying and filming, what’s MCAS Tustin look like now is the old blimp hangers still there? The more we educate people on UAVs’ the more acceptable they will become and hopefully others will start educating them self’s and fly safely. Semper Fi

Timelapsing the drone going thru it's pattern might've been neat b roll :)

It would have! I’ll keep that in mind for next time. I have another video I’m going to post that could’ve used more b roll like that too. Dang it. Missed opportunity. Thanks for the view, and suggestion!

Good to see the update. Very good overview as well! I’ve been experimenting with GS Pro again now that version 2.0 is out. Have you ever experimented with it for any of your models? Keep up the good work here on KZbin!
@Aeroeyez6 жыл бұрын
I haven't actually. Ever since my client told me that they used Pix4D exclusively, I forced myself to learn and use it as well. It was a nice change from DroneDeploy but from what I have heard, GS Pro is pretty intuitive and a heck of a lot easier to use than DroneDeploy.

Awesome work and fun. Hey I got a parrot bebop drone and a Flypad controller. I’m having trouble connecting to the drone. Need help
@steve78pugs2 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, love the content! Question, which license did you purchase from PIX4D for your drone needs? They can get pretty expensive. Thanks
@lorengallagher60496 жыл бұрын
Your humility is refreshing! I am interested in learning more about “mapping” and will investigate Pix4D Capture. Once you have the grid area set up in PIx4D, do you return to the DJI 4 control screens? Or, is there no need because the mapping sequence is entirely autonomous? Best wishes!
@Aeroeyez6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for tuning in! The entire flight is conducted within Pix4D so there is no need to go to DJI Go 4. The only reason I do so is to ensure the flight path is clear at the altitude that I choose. DJI Go 4 has a bigger screen than Pix4D to see what the camera sees so that's the reason for that. Once you launch in Pix4D, the flight is all autonomous but you can easily pause the mission and take manual control anytime.

Thanks for sending me to this video! Answered my app question. Would love to talk to you some time about Drone Mapping and how it all works. Im a Private Pilot working on my commercial license and also an avid Drone user. I am very interested in this

Yeah, anytime. I’m working on my commercial as well and have had to rescheduled my instrument check ride twice because of all the drone business. Life often gets in the way of flying.

Let me add my congratulations on your genuine attempt to provide important information in a clear presentation. One question : camera angle 45deg with respect to what reference ? and why did you choose this value in particular. thanks (Giddo - Commercial Drone Pilot)
@Aeroeyez6 жыл бұрын
giddokamal Thanks for watching and your question/comment. Based on several client’s request of aerial mapping images, 45° has yielded the best results for the purpose of 3D modeling.

Hey Man thanks for the vloging... I am fairly new to flying drones beside the ones you buy in the mall at the kiosk and crash it the same day. But I just bought a Mavic pro 2, because I’m thinking about going into business just like you. I have always had the idea of documenting construction sites progress. Now that I have a drone...where do I start? Thanks in advance.

Good morning AeroEyez. If I’m using this app, what format does it save in. Would the customers be able to see the 3D animation without having pix4D installed, or are they only allow stand alone stills? I’m interested in using this app.
@Aeroeyez5 жыл бұрын
Eyezup Aerials They capture standalone stills. In this particular project, it took about 1100 photos. The Pix4D desktop app will then take all those photos and stitch them together. I’ve seen people use DroneDeploy to process the images since DroneDeploy offers a free trial option where it will process 2-3 orthomosiac maps. After that, we use Premier and another app to compose the 3D models. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!!!

how do you find your work? i am looking to get into the buisness. i do the same kind of flights and mapping in 3d with the same app even. another question, how did you make the switch from hobbyist to professional aka getting your license?

Is the data you collect used to surveying or other things as well? I'm a surveyor and I work with a guy that does drone mapping on the side so I'm curious about it.

Hey, when it's time to replace the battery, would the drone return by itself and land? After replacing the battery, how does the drone continue the mission?
@Aeroeyez5 жыл бұрын
Manwell Patillo Jr yes the app Pix4D will send the drone back home automatically when the battery level drops down to RTH level. It pauses the mission and flys back to the launch site. When he battery is replaced, it will go through the checklist and the mission will resume.

Hey man, new to your channel, good stuff! I'm not sure if i missed this point or not but perhaps you can provide clarity. I have several questions, sorry in advance. Once you have created your flight plan via the 4D app, the drone flies the route by itself? Does the app work with any dji drones, example mavic air? and my last question, what do you do when the drone is running low on battery charge? New to the drone world, sorry for all the questions. Thanks
@Aeroeyez6 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching! No worries about all the questions. Keep 'em coming! I wish someone had put out videos for me to ask questions when I got started. Yes, once you plan the route on Pix4D, the drone flies the route automatically. The app works with my Mavic Pro as well as Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro so I think it should work with a Mavic Air too. As in this video, multiple batteries were required. Once the drone hit 18% battery, it automatically pauses the mission and heads home. When you put a fresh battery in, it will resume where it left off.
