pan fish are great eating......i catch and release almost everything, but bluegills and sunfish are the exception sometimes

This isn't my pond I just asked permission to fish it. I just knock on doors. The worst possible outcome is they say no.

You had me wondering for a bit if there were actually going to be any monsters. Then you delivered a couple and redeemed yourself. I suggest using wax worms on a small ice fly under a bobber. Fish two poles. Fish one near the top and one an inch or two off the bottom. Half a night crawler on a small hook can be deadly for catching the largest bluegill in that pond.
