Great, thanks a lot. Can we publish it to PBI Service and still be available to user (given R is only installed on desktop). Any solution to make that happen ? For instance, what if the users of PBI service have installed R on their own machines ? Would this work ?

It is possible to see R visuals on Power BI Service. Microsoft manages the R and Python instances that render these visuals. No actions required from your side. However, it is important to know there are some limitations. The most important being that there is a limit on the amount of data and some packages are not supported.
