Using Relay as a Switch for Shop Heaters

This shop uses Relay with SOMMER evo+ operators to turn off heaters in the shop if the doors are not closed. To do this, the low-voltage power wire for the heater controls is wired in series with the normally closed side of Relay. Dip switch 2 in the control housing is turned on so Relay is used as a door status indicator instead of switching in conjunction with internal lighting. If either door is opened even a few inches, the heater switches off until both doors are closed again for energy-saving purposes.
