This is an amazing transformation. The textures made the perfect background for the inlay. I never thought to cut this large inlay and spread the images out to cover the whole sign. Such a great result. Beautiful job.

Really impressive. I haven't tried this and haven't wanted to as I've watched a number of these videos where the results were as careless as the technic. Brava! This should be IOD's official tutorial. New subbie.

Gorgeous ! Can you use an inlay on an outdoor welcome sign ? ❤️👍
@SentimentalSalvageАй бұрын
You sure can! Just make sure you seal it with an exterior sealer - I like Varathane's Crystal Clear Water Based.

This came out so beautiful! You know how you can use a inlay more than once, can you use liquid patina 1 time then the next time use paint? Or do you have to stick with what you use?
@SentimentalSalvage Жыл бұрын
Thanks Rachel! When you use your Paint Inlay a 2nd time, any little bits of the 1st time's application medium will transfer to the 2nd application. So I don't see any reason why you couldn't switch it up. In the case of Clear Patina as the 1st, it would just not show up or create a void due to the fact that it's clear and also once dry, reactivating the patina wouldn't happen due to it's composition. The fun part of those 2nd or 3rd applications is the truly unpredictable outcome!

It's one I had purchased at Michael's a few years ago. 😊
