Professor Frank Krauss is working with the United Nations to model how diseases spread in refugee camps. By using quantitative methods developed to simulate the history of the universe and applying them to satellite data, the team hope to design better camps in the future to help mitigate the spread of disease.
This research has been funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Impact Acceleration Account, Science and Technology Facilities Council Impact Acceleration Account and UN Global Pulse.
