Yep... as of last summer I started using ... 20lb braid 15lb floroclear leader Micro Power Clips AND ... I had the best season of my life ... what a difference! Great 👍 Video 📹... Thankx

Great video. Interesting comment with removing the "O" ring on most crankbaits and jerk baits. The next question: What about "leaders" attached to those baits? Metal with snap included or Mono/Floro with a snap?

I use P Line Floroclear as a leader 15lb .. I've caught - Crappie , Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass , Yello Perch... Sucker Fish , Catfish.. Chain Pickerl... With .. 20lb PowerPro SSV8 Braid 15lb P Line Floroclear- Leader Micro Power Clips I remove the snap rings.. Penn Battle 3 4000 Ugly Stick Gx2 I find this set up works all around for me ... of course heavier or lighter equment and tackle would work better for specific fish and size. But this set up works best for me all around ... I can bring small or lighter oe heavier tackle or gear if I need or want to ... Dan

I fish snakeheads in very heavy cover, and I use braided mainline to a fluorocarbon leader. Because of the leader, if I retie every time I change a lure, it would be a waste of leader, and it wastes time when retying lures. A small snap makes it so much easier when I am throwing out this lure then I'm throwing that lure, and it's easier. Never have trouble with algae or weeds catching on the snap, and adds an extra barrier between their teeth and my line

Thank You Glenn for your Sharing on Snaps. The CHATTERBAITS have Snaps as Standard Hardware on them. Better than tying directly to the Lip/Blade on them. Right? Take Care & have a Good Autumn/Fall Fishing Season.

If you tied directly to the blade the chatterbait wouldn't work correctly. I fish chatterbaits for Bass in Pike infested water so I use a snap swivel and connect it to their snap and now I have an inch and a half of steel in front and a rarely get broken off. I still catch a lot of big Bass with it.

Love your videos 😊!!! I change out all my split rings to snaps the minute I open the package. Conventional wisdom says keep the split rings but I/we know better, right? The only times I don't switch is on lipless. I found it affects the action.

@@DAVE_WHITE I guess I'm talking from my own experience. I've tried snap swivels on finesse baits. There's no question in my mind that I get more fish in the same water bodies when I'm not using them. Don't get me wrong, when I throw baits that are constantly moving I don't hesitate to use swivels because I believe they won't notice it. When a bait is just sitting there for a period of time (like a tube, etc) I just didn't get as many bites as when I tied on without a snap or snap swivel. You won't have a comparison if you don't try it both ways. To each his own- so if you think it doesn't make a difference more power to you.

snaps are good when junk fishing. The only advantage is quick lure change out. Once you find a pattern, knot only.

These teardrop/egg clips are a nightmare to use, especially closing and opening. A breakaway mini clip is way better and easier to change lures.
