Well, almost to anything! Some FlySky protocols (ANT, AFHDS3), some Futaba and some Traxxas protocols are not supported (and I am sure some more). But it is a very versatile radio, thats for sure.

Would it not still work as normal? even though the rx ID is the same, you're not controlling more than one model at a time. Is the separation needed while using it one rx at a time?

If you have two or more models powered up at the same time you would control them all at the same time. On other Rx (e.g. Radiolink) you can use the Rx-ID to seperate the models, but not with Spektrum DSMR.

@@arminrc I wonder what would happen if you left the 515 powered on while binding the 215 ? I assume it would assign a new frequency when it scans and sees the 515 ?

Thanks for watching. The list of the supported protocols on multi-module.org states, that protocol #43 "Traxxas" should be compatible with receiver model 6519. Since the 6519, 6518, and 6533 are all compatible to the same radio (TQi 2.4GHz) there may be a chance that the MT12 is also compatible with the 6533. But please keep in mind: I did not test it and I won't test it. I do not have a Traxxas receiver and I will not buy one. Sorry!

Hello I just recently found out about this radio. I have one question I've seen a few different options for the mt12 which one do I need to go for to do this? The 4 in 1 or some elr.. I forgot the rest. Also do I need to purchase anything else or just the radio? Thank you in advance

If you buy the ELRS version you can only use ERLS receivers (like the ER3C-i for example). If you wanna use receivers from different brands like Spektrum, Radiolink, or FlySky then you need the 4-in-1 version. The radio comes fully equipped but without a battery. So you have to buy either 2x 18650 batteries and use them with the included battery tray or - and way better - you buy the 5000mAh Li-Ion battery from Radiomaster (the article number is 21700 I think).

Da ke fürs zeigen das die Spektrum Car Empfänger auch mit der 4in1 funktionieren. Jetzt hast du mich ins Grübeln gebracht, elrs oder doch bei Spektrum bleiben bzw bei dem Empfängern. Denke letztendlich bringen mir die elrs Empfänger mehr Flexibilität und preislich sind die natürlich auch sehr attraktiv

Danke für den Kommentar. Der Preis der Spektrum Empfänger war der Grund, warum ich Spektrum komplett ersetzt habe (die Empfänger habe ich nur zu Demozwecken). Bzgl Flexibilität bitte bedenken, dass man mit dem 4in1 Modul auch viele andere Empfänger nutzen kann (Radiolink, FlySky, Radiomaster, FrSky, etc).

Servus Armin, erstmal danke für deine Videos über die MT12, ich finde die echt super hilfreich 👍👍👍 Ich habe zuletzt meinen Spektrum SR315 mit der Radiomaster gebunden. Ich habe aber ein Problem mit der Reichweite. Keine 5 Meter von mir entfernt beschwert sich die MT12 über ein schwaches/kritisches Signal. Mit anderen Empfängern keine Probleme, ebenso auch keine Probleme mit dem originalen Sender. Weißt du zufällig woran das liegen könnte? Danke dir ✌️

Vielen Dank für den Kommentar! Bzgl. des Problems mit der Reichweite kann ich dir aber wohl nicht weiterhelfen. Ich verwende meist Radiolink Empfänger (R6F) und hier habe ich eigentlich keine Probleme. Jedoch habe ich einem Minicrawler einen RadioLink R4F installiert und hier habe ich im Prinzip das gleiche Problem wie du. Bei den Spektrum DSMR Empfängern habe ich keine Range-Tests durchgeführt, aber die sind in Kombination mit dem 4-in-1-Modul etwas "zickig".

@ thank you for the reply. The firmware I downloaded didn’t have a complete list of SLT. I use the suggested firmware for the MT 12. I found one that had the complete SLT protocol. I think I need to compile the protocols I use in Arduino. Or I’m doing something wrong :-) I’ll keep watching your videos. I love the radio very familiar with open TX with planes and drones. Why did it take them so long :-)

I think this feature has nothing to do with the transmitter but must be some feature of the used receivers. I thought you have done this already on your setups so I was curious to learn about it.

Currently my truck with the most channels used is 5 steering esc dig overdrive and a winch. About as much as I need question was more curiousity than anything else. But I see the need for 16-20 channels in the cross rc land train 10x10, if not more I may have to pick up some spare receivers and test some stuff out…

Servus. Wie ist das nun wenn ich alle meine verbliebenden FS-BS6 Receiver alle auf die Nummer 00 in verschiedenen Modellspeichern binde, überschreiben die sich oder werden diese trotzdem gespeichert? Von meiner QX7 habe ich gelernt für jedes Modell mit eigenem Receiver soll man eine andere Nummer wählen oder ist das egal?

Nein, das ist kein Bug im 4in1 Modul. Wenn man keinen Receiver-Match haben möchte, dann legt man beim Modell in der MT12 die Receiver ID auf 0. Alle Modelle/Empfänger, welche auf ID 0 liegen, werden "gleichzeitig" gesteuert (sofern die Empfänger eingeschalten sind, natürlich). Hat man also z.B. einen Anänger, der einen eigenen Empfänger hat und möchte man diesen Anhänger gemeinsam mit dem Zugfahrzeug steuern, dann kann man bei den beiden zugehörigen Modellen in der MT12 die Empfänger (Zugfahrzeug und Anhänger) jeweils auf Receiver-ID 0 legen. Der Normalfall wird jedoch sein, dass jedes Modell in der MT12 auch eine eindeutige Receiver-ID besitzt, damit auch immer nur genau das RC-Modell gesteuert wird, welches zur entsprechenden ID gehört, auch wenn ein oder mehrere andere Modelle/Empfänger aktiv sind.

do you have the 4 in 1 mt12 or the elrs version. i f you have an elrs tx you need the nano 4 in 1 module and go thru the process again but use the external module instead . the multi protocol option will only show up on a 4 in 1 radio or module

Why do you want to reset the MT12 to factory settings? You can always delete all models and re-install the EdgeTX and - if applicable - multi-module firmware.

Strange. On my MT12 the DSMR Receivers work without any problem if i set receiver id. But i have 4in1 V 1.3.3.24 instead of your V 1.3.3.33

die chenels werbinden...1 reciver 1-5 ch. 2 reciver 6-10.. ....... du kanst chenels werbinden und jede separat zu steuern.wann ist eine aus weiter in funktion bleiben die chenels wie hast du eingestelt und umgedret. die funke ist grundloss mit programirungen..ich binn so begeistert vo radiomaster mt 12 einfach hammer timmings und speed von servos einsterrle.hammer sache du kanst jede kanal mit werschidene ausgang spanung einstellen.vann dein servo braucht 8,5 fur max tork. auch kein problem..

Das man die Spannung eines (Empfänger-)Ausgangs über den Sender steuern kann, halte ich für fast unmöglich. Die Spannung des Gesamtsystems auf der Empfängerseite wird durch den ESC geregelt und mir wäre kein Empfänger bekannt, der einstellbare Spannungsregler (je Kanal) aufweist.

@@arminrc Das Protokoll mit der Sprache erst einmal nichts. Jedoch hat man sich die Mühe gemacht diverse Protokolle zu Implizieren (was toll ist), jedoch nicht an den Deutschen Markt gedacht (oder es war zu Umständlich, oder Ihnen die Mühe nicht Wert). Bei derart vielen Funktionen und Verknüpfungen im Menü, wäre es - zumindest für Mich - hilfreich.

@@dietmarfinster3176 EdgeTX ist, denke ich, überhaupt nicht für einen spezifischen Markt gemacht, sondern einfach global in Englisch gehalten. Natürlich mag es Tx geben, welche besser lokalisiert sind, aber wenn ich z.B. die Spektrum DX5 Pro anschaue (Kostenpunkt ca. €360) dann ist die auch in Englisch und, soweit ich das sehe, nicht umstellbar. Wenn ich dann den Rest der Anlage vergleiche (5 Kanäle vs 32, restriktive Programmierung vs komplett frei inkl LUA Scripting, Zwang der Registrierung für Update der RaceWare Firmware vs frei verfügbare OpenSource EdgeTX Firmware, Festlegung auf ein Protokoll vs quasi freie Receiver-/Protokollwahl + Option TBS Crossfire Modul, etc), dann fällt es mir sehr schwer zu erkennen, warum ich für die Spektrum Anlage €200 mehr ausgeben soll. Klar, ich beziehe mich hier nur auf die DX5 Pro und evtl gibt es da draußen Funken anderer Hersteller welche bzgl Sprache besser aufgestellt sind. Bzgl Funktionsumfang in Kombination mit dem Preis gibt es für mich aktuell nichts besseres als die MT12. Wenn einem jedoch eine deutsche Oberfläche am Wichtigsten ist, dann fällt sie durchs Raster.

@@arminrc Bei der Spektrum bin ich mir auch nicht sicher. Bei meinen DX4c 4s gibt es die Deutsche Textausgabe. Auch sehe ich Englisch nicht als Kaufentscheidung, hätte es jedoch - da ja auch leicht Programmierbar - als Option. Doch genau des Preises wegen möchte ich von Spektrum weg und da kommt eine Funke genau richtig bei der ich die alten Empfänger und zusätzlich noch günstigere von andeten Hersteller nutzen kann. In engerer Wahl waren die neuen Funken von Absima (günstige Empfänger) wobei ich dann alles Umrüsten müsste und da relativiert sich der Preis, wenn man für die Spektrum Sachennicht los wird, in Bezug auf günstigere Alternativen.

Ah ja, da hab ich mich wohl getäuscht. Bei der DX4c geht das definitiv (vier Sprachen sind verfügbar) und wohl auch bei der DX5 Pro. Hab es vorhin in der Anleitung überlesen. In der Anleitung der DX4c steht zu dem Thema mehr als bei der DX5 Pro. Wenn du auf der Suche nach einer neuen - universellen - Funke bist, dann geht aber eigentlich kein Weg an der MT12 vorbei. Ja, es stimmt natürlich, dass die Oberfläche nur in Englisch ist. Aber irgendwie sind doch alle Funken prinzipiell gleich. Von daher findet man sich bzgl. der Grundfunktionen schnell zurecht. Das andere kommt dann mit der Zeit. Man muss ja nicht gleich extrem tief in die Programmierung einsteigen. Solltest du dich für die MT12 entscheiden, bitte unbedingt vorher prüfen, ob die Spektrum Receiver bzw. deren Protokolle vom 4-in-1 Modul unterstützt werden! Nicht jedes der unterschiedlichen Spektrum Protokolle wird unterstützt. Sonst wäre der Preisvorteil natürlich dahin, wenn du dann trotzdem neue Empfänger kaufen müsstest. Bei mir war es übrigens ähnlich. Hatte viele Jahre eine DX4S (ist schon lange her) und bin dann auf Radiolink umgestiegen (harter Cut, alle Receiver ausgetauscht, damals gab es noch keine MT12 um die Spektrum Empfänger weiter nutzen zu können). Hab aktuell die RC4GS V3, die RC6GS V3 und die RC8X. Die RC8X ist eine wirklich tolle Funke, aber wenn ich mir dazu die MT12 im Vergleich anschaue, dann ärgere ich mich doch irgendwie ob des hohen Preises, den ich für die RC8X gezahlt habe. Die MT12 kann alles, was die RC8X kann und darüber hinaus noch einiges mehr und kann die gleichen Empfänger verwenden. Die RC8X behalte ich trotzdem. Einfach auch deshalb, um sie von Zeit zu Zeit für Vergleichszwecke heranziehen zu können, aber eigentlich verwende ich nur noch die MT12. Egal für welche Funke du dich entscheidest, viel Spaß mit dem Hobby! Welche Fahrzeuge fährst du? Crawler? Basher? Racer?
