I created a game called Oracle of Hipnos, a round robin coop story game. This was before I discovered solo rpgs. The rules are quite simple: 1. The players decide the genre and the feel of the story that will be told, so everyone is on the same page. 2. The first player put the deck on the table (called Oracle), and draws the first card, putting it on the side. This is called Vision, and is background of the story. He start the tale, and after laying the background, he then pulls 2 more cards, selects one to continue the narrative, putting it below the Vision card, and continues introducing characters and a start, leaving a hook for other player to continue. This is the Chapters of the Storyline. Then he discards the other card to the side of the Oracle face-up, starting a pile called the Graveyard. 3. The another player then pulls up 2 cards, either 2 from the Oracle, or 1 from the Oracle and 1 from the Graveyard. He selects one to continue and put to the side of the first card of the Storyline. After he finishes (leaving a hook), he discards the other card on the Graveyard. 3. The other players do the same, always keeping coherence and leaving hooks, until the story reaches a climax and a close. The players then give their opinion on it, and create an alternate ending if the wish so. Well, I have the pdf but it is in brazilian portuguese. It's incredible how great of a prompt Tarot cards can be!

Very cool idea! Been getting into roleplaying (solo) lately. And just fleshed out two npc in my Ironsworn adventure with a tarot past-present-future draw. Works great :) Love the content 🙌

Love the video dude, since the spirits bard came out for dnd I’ve wanted to do a character based on the tarot. Minor constructive criticism: please flip any irl clips you want to use in future. It’s always a good one when you upload! 👍

I’ve thought of using cards like that in tabletop, but never in either of those ways. I’m excited to try this with a similarly symbolic card deck of mine, now!

It's a lot more engaging than just rolling on tables. I hope you have fun with your games using it! 👍

I'm a DM that relies heavily on improv, I keep a tarot deck next to me whenever I need something to build off of.

It's an amazing resource for narrative crafting, especially with how open each card is for interpretation!
