Using Tarot to Design Spells & Rituals

I am new to tarots I ask my cards today what do they need to tell me.. and the 8 of cups , death card and king of cups came up.. could u please help me to understand clearly what this mean.. Im really scared and need your help.. please just tell me what this reading means my dearest witch 🙏🏽

Hi Lia. I don't believe others--including myself--can really "tell you" what the cards mean in the sense you're looking for. What I *can* say is that there's no reason to be scared of the cards you drew. Given that you're new to Tarot, I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb and guess that you got freaked out by the "Death" card, and possibly by the imagery on the 8 of Cups. But neither of these cards is inherently bad or evil in any way, nor should you take them literally. I think the best approach to dealing with your concern is to step away from the cards for a while and to study up on the various ways other Tarot readers interpret and use the cards themselves. If you go to my channel's home page and then click on the "Channels" tab, you should be able to see some of the other youtubers I'm subscribed to. A lot of them are Tarot enthusiasts; I particularly recommend Sacred Seed and Benebell Wen, both of whom provide valuable resources on the topic on their channels, including book recommendations. Benebell actually has a book on Tarot out that I think is an excellent introduction; you can find it easily at bookstores/amazon. Check out her accompanying video series (also on her youtube channel page). Again, please don't be afraid; you've got nothing to fear from the Tarot, and I genuinely believe that learning more about the cards will help ease your mind. Best of luck.

hello there! :-) last night I did a marathon and watched a whole bunch of your videos! Very intellectually stimulating tons of food forthought. I especially love the tea ceremony for rituals. after reading the comment you left on my channel, I knew there is a lot I can learn from you! have you ever read the book called The Essence of Magic by Mary K Greer? love that book. I use scent in ritual all the time. I think the olfactory system is one of the least developed of our senses, which is ironic knowing that it is one of our strongest. anyway, I love all your videos! Just wondering: how do you lay out this spread? Left to right? Top to bottom? Upper left downwards to lower right?

I've frankly used it in both vertical and horizontal alignments, but always the same order of: first card for each of the caster's, subject's, and items columns/rows, then the second card for each row, then the third card for each. Feel free to play around with the organization based on what feels right and what sub-domain you want to focus on most heavily. Cheers & best.
