Hi Don! has your formula changed through the years, or is it remaining the same? Would love knowing if you are using a different formula today. How do you determine that this essential oil is making a difference in the colonies? Are you guessing? What does it help? Thanks for all you do!

Thank you bee man I love your videos. They're very helpful for a beekeeper just starting off like me. Thanks for all the great videos and tips. The majority of beekeepers at the club I'm in ,now use natural treatments and essential oils due to that scientists are more discovering the effects that the chemicals have on the bees .

I took a a bee keeping class last fall and they only covered chemical treatments for mites and other pests/diseases. So glad to see this video showing an alternative. Four coworkers keep bees and I'll make sure to tell them about your videos. Excellent!

Hi I live in Zimbabwe and the last couple of days am enjoying your videos. Have always attracted bees hives to my place so have but out a box 6 years ago and started to learn about bees since than lately am becoming more active in my beekeeping and am enjoying your videos to learn more especially to keep hives happy with essential oils. Can't follow everything you say as the African bees a bit different and one can only work in the hives at night. Thanks for all the info I can pick up and can't wait to do a tea tree treatment for them I don't really need to feed in our winter as we still have things blooming. I just thought you will love the idea that even some on in Zimbabwe is watching your clippings bye for now Sonja

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this and for all the videos that you have shared with us. I have seen on a few other videos people making their own wax foundation from a handmade press with silicone mold that they pour wax on. I was wondering where they got them or if they copied them from plastic foundations and if so how did they get the two sides to line up with one another. And thanks once more.

Could you use these measurements of essential oils to a lower amount of water(1/4 c), emulsify, then soak pine needles in this to take up all moisture. This could then, naturally dry? Maybe use it to put small amount of it in smoker while working with the bees? Could this work as well?

Hi, Totty from Dorset ,England, I follow your videos and find them a great help, I have been keeping bees for about 6 years and would say you are the source of most interesting facts. I keep being told , do this and that with chemicals by our so called experts ,only to find out they don't do it themselves ! ( because it no longer works) .i like you would rather leave the chemicals out as I feel it will only lesson the bees ability to defend its self.how else do we resistance to the worlds nasties ,mites , and fungi spores etc.

Thanks Don, No you can't read my mind. This video really helped me with Spring and Fall nutrition, but I'm curious about Summer nutrition. I see Honey Bee Healthy, and am curious if I can make that stuff myself. If I can, your just they guy who can help me. If I make it myself, how should I use it? Should I just add it to my sugar water every day? If so, how much should I add? I currently use a boardman front feeder with a 50%/50% sugar/water mixture. Do you have any suggestions that might help me? I was referred to your videos by my mentor (who I think you may know). His name is Gary Anthony. We both live in Knoxville, TN.

Hey Don...how often is the wintergreen/tea tree treatment to be used? I tried this for the first time, and when I put it in my open top feeders, all the bees IMMEDIATELY vacated the caged ladder down into it...they flat out ran. It is late..I am in middle TN...they still had a few mites after sugar/garlic treatments. Do they need it 10 days apart when there is time? Thanks
