Every day is a school day, thank you, I'm going to have a go at applying similar to my model railway projects🤞✌️👍😊💜

for tamiya flat white - do thin it like crazy, to prevent splattering; it does have ALOT of pigments. You can use mr levelling thinner or tamiya levelling thinner for better results!

Remember - use the same brand of thinner as the paint that you're using! On this topic, if in doubt, be boring :-)

It would have been nice to see a layer of red added after the highlighting to see the outcome. I've never done highlighting but maybe I could try it on a gunpla build. Thanks again H&S!

Lovely video. White ink works really well for this as well.

I want a Cult of Paint H&S airbrush, but I already have the Angel G. and the Ukraine Inifinities. Plus an ancient Badger syphoner and the obligatory, came with the compressor, Mr. Hobby/Creos gravity feed. None of these are particularly bad instruments. Even the syphon is good for large batch priming. Can I really justify a fifth? I feel like I'd be obliged to become a commission painter or something.

Do you all have a see through end for the Kyiv air brushes
@harderairbrush Жыл бұрын
I think you mean the open front aircap? They are supplied like this - simply pull the needle cap off to expose the front end in order to paint like Andy does in this video :-)
@soy_es_bueno7255 Жыл бұрын
@@harderairbrush I’m talking about the end that closes the needle into the air brush like the infinity
@harderairbrush Жыл бұрын
Ah I understand - you mean at the back end? The handle? No, we don't do that for the Kyiv. We wanted to keep it close so that Angela's artwork could have more area.

aka zenital highlighting
@TetsugakuSan Жыл бұрын
Not really, zenith all highlighting is just spraying from above at 0-45 degrees in a blast, this is focussed and chosen leaving shadows even directly from above. Not the same effect.

Wait a minute you prime with rattle cans?
@harderairbrush Жыл бұрын
Here at H&S we always try not to get sucked into the airbrush elitism trap. It's the result not the method which matters for our audience. Personally I prefer airbrushing a primer on, as you can more precisely control build-up and therefore preservation of the moulded detail, but there's no problem using a quality rattle can if it works acceptably well.
