Well here we are using the auger on yesterdays stump. I love watching this thing make the big shavings. So awesome. This is the 16" auger bit. Thanks for watching.

I'm so glad you included the part in the beginning,, it's that other dudes responsibility to clear the area for you to see.. Hope he wasn't expecting a raise or anything for doing a common sense thing,,, like his job!!

No raises there. It is my brother in law. He helps every once in awhile. But that was his house. Freebie job.

Man that is so fun to watch that auger

Yep. I love it.

I'm so intrigued by these. I've run a big stump grinder. It's a violent process. Throws rocks, makes crazy dust. Maybe, maybe, it's slower, but I'm not so sure...

I like it over a stump grinder, but I don't do tons of stumps. I agree with you about not throwing material all over. I can auger a stump right next to a parked car or next to a house and not worry about damaging anything.

That’s so freakin satisfying! Its like giant pencil shavings. But man what a mess that makes. Not sure what’s better/worse. Stump grinder chips or big shavings.

Oh I know it will mesmerize you while you are doing it.

Much quieter and less violent than a stump grinder. Plus the shavings make it look like you are sharpening a pencil!

yep. the shavings are a little hypnotic
@jeffmayeux16922 жыл бұрын
The shavings reminds of those pencil shavings from a small pencil sharpener. Jason, could your mini excavator run this attachment?
@skidco2 жыл бұрын
I know. Its almost hypnotic. I do like watching the shavings come off of it. The nice thing is it doesn't through material everywhere like a stump grinder does.

Good fire starter

Yep. I usually leave it there and pile on the rest of the stump in the ground. I tell the home owner to burn it in a month and really get that stump dead with the heat. It usually never does anything after that. No regrowth.

I wonder if you put the arms in float...?
@gdanuser2 жыл бұрын
You can use float or keep down force so the pilot can feed the auger down.

Is the auger head high flow or standard and what does that setup cost
@skidco2 жыл бұрын
I was running the machine in standard flow. 20 GPM
@matthewsmith9886 ай бұрын
Is that an attachment for a post hole auger motor? Is that machine low flow?
@skidco5 ай бұрын
standard flow attachment. Its a post hole auger. And the attachment is a Danuser Stump Planer. Its the best thing I've found for taking out stumps. No flying debris.

Great video What horsepower is needed for this I have a 40 horsepower mahindra, would that run this? Thanks in advance
@skidco7 ай бұрын
Maybe the smaller one. I would probably call Danuser tech support. I don't know. They should be able to tell you.

Thank you sir- I will do that@@skidco

Where do you get the bit?
@skidco Жыл бұрын
I actually tested it out for Danuser and then bought it because I liked it so much. A Danuser dealer can get you one. They have a 10" and this bigger one. its either 16 or 18" I don't remember which it is. Works really good. Im actually using it today for 3 stumps in a building lot.

Makes a mess and very slow. Wouldn't be any good maybe on a farm. Residential.
