This video is another in a series about figuring out how best to use my new Insta360 ONE X2 camera to record instructional sketching sessions. For it I chose to sketch on my 12.9 iPad Pro using the Procreate drawing app. Lessons learned: (1) sketching in the sun is difficult on the iPad because of glare; (2) with sun glare my iPhone XS doesn’t actually record my sketching strokes on iPad screen; (3) I need to be quiet at points where I will change the view of the camera to allow me to do a jump cut; (4)my COMICA wireless mic set is best wireless recording equipment I have; (5) I need to be sure to leave room to allow for the picture-in-picture frame in upper right corner; and I need to come up with a recording method so what I’m drawing on iPad screen will be visible and useable in final video.
