Simulator battles with a whole flight setup (stick, throttle and rudder pedals) while being in VR is my favorite experience that I can only recommend people to try out

@@GibPuncc War Thunder actually works really well with a quest 2, my pc is midrange and can still push around 70fps in vr, I def recommend it if you have the chance too

Remember to use the "follow me" command regularly when playing SIM. It marks your location on the map for your team. Your friendlies will often respond and then everyone knows roughly where everyone is. Likewise you can use "cover me" to let your team know you are in contact with the enemy. Also the carrier has so much health you need several runs with 2000/3000 lbs bombs to kill it.

i would recommend a hotas and track IR, really makes a difference. other than that, great job and nice vid

I actually already have a HOTAS (albeit the Thrust master A320 one that I use for MSFS) but I have been wanting to get Track IR for quite some time to use in DCS. Though, maybe I could also use it for War Thunder now that you mention it. Also, glad you enjoyed the video! 😁

I loved using this thing in sim. It was so good and used to curb everyone with the very excellent AiM9J’s. They are the best. After a while I got use to the off set gun but can never get use tot the 20+ minutes of limited fuel. Good thing the Volvo engine isn’t too hungry

Yeah, being able to out turn everyone was very funny Plus the 9Js i feel like would turn into an AIM-9X and pull some of the tightest turns I've ever seen in WT 😭😭

Sim battles almost never last more 2h, if the teams are full it won't last an hour

Hey dude i have 600+ matches with this plane and it can fing tank missiles as long as they dont hit directly if its just a proximity detonation u can just get out of there it can even fly with no wings as long as youre supersonic or close

Honestly a mouse and keyboard is all you need. It's a little janky at first but you get used to it after a while

I use mouse and keyboard, with a mix relative axis mouse control and keyboard binds for controlling my flight surfaces
