Coach I did not play the Mint Front but we played a lot of Slant/Angle and I involved the Joker as the 4th rusher. We found it worked well vs inside zone . It allowed for us to play a smaller less athletic kid there. He finish 3rd on the team with tackles for loss. Great work Coach and happy holidays.

Coach, have you ever ran this as a package and not a base? If yes, how'd that go? not enough time? Able to install and keep a lot of the same teaching? Lastly, on the Nose and Mike. What is your rules in terms of fits? Mike makes the Nose right? Mike you blitz and auto slant the nose? Just curious what you run there

We ran it last 3 games of the year with out regular tite front 3 high stuff. Didn’t rep it properly and got mixed results. Nose should play backside a gap and mike fits off that. We have slanted the Nose and made Mike responsible for the other A gap

Coach, you mentioned you like doing videos on questions from viewers; would you be able to do a video on Saban's Rip/Liz match at some point? I'm surprised you have not delved into it at least once with you being a Bama fan 🙂

Coach I have watched a few of your videos based on your stack with the "Jack" look. But I have not seen how you handle a TE if have brought the Jack up. Is he still in a 2 point? Would he play him head up, inside leverage, or drop off the ball?
@CoachMac2 жыл бұрын
We would generally play him to the weak side or away from passing strength. If he ended up with a TE and we were in Tite Front he would be a 2 point Stance, inside eye C gap player
