I had to also power the goggles by plugging in the micro USB on the right hand side (by the power button on the goggles) also to the external battery. Only worked then... Maybe because of the WiFi transmitter I purchased from Amazon was slightly different. Not a big deal, as the external battery had 2 USB slots for OUT power 👍. Screen mirroring on Google pixel 2xl worked 👍. Thanks for this video!

You have to charge the goggles. Plug into usb to charge.

Thanks for this. You pointed me in the right direction. Just a heads up, if you get the 2.4g/5G dual frequency dongle, you will have a much faster connection between your phone/tablet and dongle. This creates less latency on the video. I tested 2.4g @ 65mbps where 5g was 340gbps to my phone!

Well yes, but no. You're already getting decent latency from the drone camera to the remote and then into the phone. Now adding more connections to that chain gives you more latency. Sticking your phone into a cheep vr headset would be better, at least that way youre not adding unnecessary latency through the purchased dongle.

It works. Just got mine all set up today for my mavic mini. Finally the yuneec googles and the yuneec mantis q work together. Ps: hope the lag isn't as bad outside than in house.

After seeing the new product from DJI, the FPV drone, I decided to make my mini FPV before spending $1,300. I was not impressed. First of the Yuneec skyview goggles were $140 not $70. The MPIO router was cheap enough, $33. I don't know if there is something wrong with the router but I get extreme lag time, somewhere in the vicinity of 10 to 20 seconds, not the 20 micro seconds the pamphlet said. Do you know if there is some way to clean this up? Or do I have a faulty router? I have heard since the Mini 2 came out with zoom capabilities someone has developed software to make the Mini 1 do the same, any info on this?

Yes, they have raised the prices on the goggles because they became so popular. Your lag time is much longer than ours. Maybe because you are in an urban area. I’m not sure why your lag time is so long. Didn’t hear anything about a zoom on The mini 1.

Range is not affected because it’s WiFi to your cell phone, not the drone.

Yes, as long as you are using an IPhone or Adroid device to fly the drone. The goggles mirror what’s on your phone.

Some guys say there isn't but I did notice a little delay when I flew it with the goggles. I guess it depends on whether or not you have a clean signal-and no interference.

Nate Larsen the goggles are connecting to your phone , so it would not affect the distance of the drone. The distance of the drone would remain the same.

Nate Larsen -the cable is usb and it comes with the wireless adapter. Only cable you need to get is the HDMI cable to micro adapter that fits into the goggles.

One this to also note is you lose all audio from your phone when mirroring because the goggles have no speaker. Not necessary here for DJI FLY app, but any notification sounds coming from your phone will not be heard. NBD, just an observation.
