Finally you upload! I’ve been waiting for a while now. Btw, you should do a video explaining the new stuff in your pedalboard

I approve of praising and worshiping the bass guitar. It's the god of instruments.

Hey Matt! Really digging your videos! You have a natural gift for teaching. If you have the time would really love to see a tutorial on Rattle by Elevation Worship!

Hey man, fwiw, it’s better to place the micro synth after the compressor. The compressor will even out the transients that might cause the MS to bug out, plus a good comp will produce good sustain.

This sounds even better going through an Aguilar Tone Hammer. Then you can max out the filter control! I have a video on my channel featuring that sound.

I highly recommend getting a 'fret wrap' (real, copy, or DIY) to people who have trouble muting their other strings whilst playing.

Should the compressor come before or after the MicroSynth in the chain?

Hey, I remember you saying to use low and high chords to build and release tension in a song? Could you explain a bit more, I’m trying to get better at bass and you’re a great inspiration. (Like when would you go from high to low, etc)
@uff56572 жыл бұрын
Im not him; but if i can ill try and give you a bit of advice! I use high chords if i want to build tension at the end of a build since it kind of adds a moment of really high tension because you know the bass HAS to come down eventually if you know what i mean. You can also do high chords for builds: like if you have a pre-chorus where everyone kind of builds you can play high to add substance but not get into the way for everyone, and if you slide down in the high part it adds a lot of dynamics. I hope that kind of answers your question!

Hey, do you think it’s possible to pull off a similar tone that works for worship bass on a EH Bass Mono Synth pedal?
@gloryfallph4 жыл бұрын
Good video! have you considered having the comp before the microsynth?
@WorshipBassTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but sounds out of the micro synth can be kinda crazy sometimes so it helps me even out my output a little bit
@donmccaig4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! If I'm seeing things right, your chain goes from microsynth, sansamp, to microtubes. Why that order? I'm working through setting up my own pedalboard and would appreciate some feedback. Thanks!
@WorshipBassTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Putting a drive before the micro synth makes the micro synth track weird, and sometimes it can’t tell what note you’re playing because it can only track one note at a time. And I put the compressor at the end just to even out my output.
