It’s best not to mind read, but it’s likely a protest response to your lack of attention toward her, which is a good thing. Or it could just be she’s having a tough time. I’m assuming she dumped you? Dumpers go through their own version of pain. But right now, the dumper will stick to their guns to validate their decision to leave so let them have it right now. Buddy, my advice is to not even try to figure this out. You cannot possibly know so you’re missing the forest for the trees. The facts are, you’re not with her at this point in time. I appreciate that this is brutal advice, but the simple answer is that she left. How you respond is of upmost importance now. Give this time and energy to yourself. It’s okay to feel bad, you’re meant to at this time. However, using energy to try and figure out her actions is futile. I promise you will be okay, but it’s going to suck for a while. I feel for you buddy i truly do, but i also know that wasting energy on figuring out their actions is a waste of time. I hope you feel better.

If you were hurting each, 100% yes it was the right move. Reconciliations fail because the old relationship was brought back to life and neither party worked on themselves. It’s only when you both fix your individual trauma you can possibly look at a new relationship together.
