Using the Pixel Oppilas Remote Shutter Release For Video Recording on Panasonic cameras

Just ordered this remote and was hoping for it to record in video mode and it does, also with a visual standby light..So great for light painting, I also hear that it has a 100 mtr range....that is fabulous Graham and Great useful and informative video...

Graham. Excellent video series on the FZ200. I found your video whilst doing some research on the best bridge camera, and I primarily choose the FZ200 (over a similar canon model) because of your thorough video series.One question: Can I use the Oppilas remote AND an external mic at the same time? Hi Graham. Do you know if this will work on the Pansonic FZ-300 for video? I looked at the Amazon webpage and the FZ-300 isn't specifically listed, but I am assuming that it will work. I have 2 FZ-300s and was hoping to start recording video on both cameras at the same time by pressing a single button. Thanks for all of the great videos.

Thanks Graham you are amazing! One question if I want to use an off camera flash with the receiver normal using the hotshoe, do I put the flash receiver on another tripod and put the trigger reciever on top of the camera?

Do you know any remote that would work for the lumix FZ82 model? I can't find anything besides the image app by panasonic. If you can suggest one it would be of great help.

Hi Graham, great video! I use the Lumix g6 to record training tutorials. As I'm alone, I use the Panasonic image app in my android tablet to start and stop recording videos in fully automatic (iA mode). The only problem is that after 30 sec the display of the camera (in which I'm able to see myself in) goes off. Do you know of any trick to make it still on? I have tried all options both in the camera and in the tablet but seems that Panasonic never thought about this. Much appreciated.

hi graham great video,,i have a Panasonic fz200 and looking at buying a remote shutter release for it ,if I didn't fix the receiver to the hot shoe and popped the flash up would the flash work ok as I need a remote for night shots

Hi Graham, I have a Lumix FZ200 and have just received the RW-221 remote shutter release. Everything is fine, including the receiver and transmitter showing the green light, until the transmitter button is fully depressed. The nothing, the shutter will NOT activate. Any ideas?
